Obama is a socialist and wanted to help out the un-ensured citizens, and thinks government should be involved in every aspect of our life, so he has come up with free health care for all citizens. Obama care is a Universal health care where the government has total control over our countries health care system. i feel it is going to hurt businesses in the United States of America and it's going to hurt the middle class people because the businesses are going to have to pay more fee's for their employees for health care. AT&T is going to lose 1 billion dollars because of the health care plan for its employees. The health care bill is also being called unconstitutional because it requires people to sign up for this government program and if they don't sign up for it they could be fined or even go to jail. It is going to hurt small businesses they have less money to spend, and they will have to spend it on the extra bill. This health program is also bad because people that have some types of diseases or sicknesses required to see a doctor regularly and since there is health care people are going to have to wait a lot longer to see their doctor. The biggest point of all is that our country is so broke and the health care bill has costed over a trillion dollars and it doesn't even go into effect till 2017. An example of how this does not work, take a look at the counties in Europe, the prime ministers of other countries in Europe come to the United State if they have a problem to go to the doctor, and that is bad because they had it before we did. The government cannot run the post office and now its going to run a large port of our economy. Anytime the government gets involved with something, they make it ten times worse. The right wing media is against the health care bill, and the left wing media is for it. The average person is paying premium rates to have the best health care and now this health act is going to give everyone the same benefits with out them paying, and i don't think thats fare.

Death On Wantagh Parkway

Joseph Henry Sargent, a 20 year-old boy was killed on the Wantagh Parkway, on Monday March 22nd, due to a fatal car accident. He was on his way home from his girlfriends in Wantagh Woods, when he fell asleep at the wheel at 2:30 am. His 2003, 325 BMW drifted off to the left side of the highway into a tree that pushed the drivers side back into the back seat of the car.

Eight months prior to this fatal accident, a 23 year-old man named Anthony Pittello crashed on this highway not even a quarter mile away from Josephs. Anthony, the driver of a 2007 Honda Civic, lost control and hit a tree at 65 miles an hour with 3 other passengers in the car. Only one survived.

These two accidents that has taken place, has been a tragedy to me, my family, and all my close friends. Joseph is my first cousin, and was one of my closest friends; Anthony was one of my closest friends as well. On Wantagh Parkway there are crosses every few feet. The unsafe roads with no guardrails or lights have caused many deaths. After all the deaths recorded in the same area of Wantagh Parkway, the State of New York has finally decided to put up lights and guardrails to prevent fatal car accidents, with the help of the television’s breaking news to the public, the paper, and media. Many kind people who didn't even know the people who have died on the Wantagh Parkway has made phone calls to the town complaining about hearing of the tragic accident stories too often, and for a demand of change, and help. Having two of the closest people in my life killed on the Wantagh Parkway has changed my life as well as many people surrounding my friends and family. I am glad that they are finally doing something about this dangerous road.

Re-cap on American Idol- and your contestants!

American Idol 2010 is on its way to having their top 12 performers! It has been an emotional ride for most, but who does't have a story to tell on a reality TV show? There has been some pretty bad auditions, and some extremely funny ones too, as General Larry gives a memorable performance,'lookin like a foo wit ya pants on the ground'. So far it looks like its gonna be the girls year. Simon has made that prediction and i actually agree with him. Although this year it seems the judges are off on the way they're judging, every time someone sings very well they give them a harsh/bad critique. But when a not so powerful singer does a not so great job they seem to be giving them more credit then they deserve. Another issue i'm having is the judges are telling the contestants not to pick songs that sound similar to their voices, and to take songs that they wouldn't be expected to pick and change them. Now every time a contestant does this the judges say that they either changed it too much, or that the song didn't suit their voices. its actually very weird.
My favorites so far are, for the girls, Didi Benami, and for the boys, Alex Landbert. Didi is a young waitress who lost her best friend in a car accident and is having an emotional ride, but the judges like her voice and think she is different, although they think she is making poor song choices. Alex Landbert is like a turtle in a shell, very scared and not much of a performer. Although, He is slowly peeking out, and to me his voice sounds the best overall the other guys. The strongest competitor in the competition and favored by most is Crystal Bowersox. Just recently she had to take a day off from the competition by doctors orders, because she was in the hospital for type one diabetes. She definitely is a power house, but the fact that she is only doing the competition for money to support her son turns me off (thats just my opinion). Michael Lynche, season 9 contestant is a shit brick house, huge body builder and personal trainer. Despite his burley look, he is a soft teddy bear on the inside. His story is touching, coming from a small town, Lynche is auditioning while his wife is giving birth to his first child. He speaks her through the pregnancy on the phone, and is showing America how proud he is of his wife for being strong. His last performance on Wednesday, March 10th, is a performance that touched the hearts of America, and brought Kara DioGuardi to tears, as he sang This Woman's Work.
